Understanding CRM 4.0 Email Router!


 

I just completed the instructor lead course “Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 Installation & Deployment” (Course # 8911).

One of the toughest part to understand in the course is the “Email Router”. In CRM 3.0 the email router and only one possible scenario which didn’t make it an important component of CRM. But in CRM 4.0, that’s different…

Among the main features introduced by the CRM team in CRM 4.0 is the fact that you do not have to have an Exchange server anymore!

In fact any “software” that uses POP3 and SMTP can be used…even Lotus Notes! 😉
